The Park Hill Talking Trojans have earned the Prestigious Societe’ de 300 given to the top 1% of Speech and
Debate Schools in the country. Park Hill has more than 300 members and degrees. This makes them one of the largest programs in the country.They will continue to build on their legacy of excellence as they finish out their
semester at the Independence Winter Classic. Wish them luck.

    Park Hill High School Performing Arts Presents Newsies

    They delivered the papers, until they made headlines…Newsies, the smash-hit, crowd-pleasing musical from Disney is now playing at Park Hill High School. A two-time Tony Award-winning show, Newsies has audiences and critics alike calling it “a musical worth singing about!” (The New York Times). Filled with one heart-pounding number after another, it’s a high-energy explosion of song and dance you don’t want to miss.

    Now is the time to seize the day with Newsies, playing November 15-17 at Park Hill High School.

    Tickets go on sale to the public on Thursday, October 25. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.

    Attention Juniors: Mizzou’s High School Mini Medical School is geared toward juniors interested in careers in medicine. It is a one-week experience designed to give students a preview of medical school. Applications are available January 1st. See your counselor for more information.


    Graduating Seniors: If you missed the deadline to order your cap/gown and announcements at PHHS, please contact Jostens directly at 816-523-4900. Jostens can assist you in placing your order.


    Common Ground’s Winter Clothing Drive is being extended through Friday. Thank you for all of your donations of gently used boots, scarves, gloves, hats, and coats. Please continue to donate these items in the boxes near the auditorium, cafeteria and the library. All donations are going to our own Park Hill family through the Clothing Closet.


    Mark your calendars for Wednesday, December 19th! The Park Hill vs. Park Hill South boys and girls basketball games will be held this year at Hy-Vee Arena!!! Formerly Kemper, it has been updated and is now the nation’s first multi-level sports complex. JV boys and girls games will tip off at 4 pm in the upper level courts. Varsity girls will play on the lower level court at 5:30, followed by the boys game at 7. Admission is $5. This will be in effect for the JV games as well. This is still considered a South home game so activity passes will not work. Conference and teacher passes will be honored. Come out and support all of our Trojans!
