Immunizations Students Need Before Beginning Classes

Platte County Health Department will be hosting required 8th and 12th-grade immunizations, free sports physicals, and more at the Riverside Mass Vaccine Clinic Site on Thursday, June 3rd from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please encourage parents to register for the event online at https://hipaa.jotform.com/211254548060045. This will be a walk-in/walk-through set-up throughout that time period.

This event is open to ALL families. There is no income requirement. PCHD will have VFC vaccine and private vaccine available. Two doctors have also volunteered to do Free Sports Physicals as well. They will also have a counselor from Tri-County Mental Health there with resources. This is separate from the Back to School Fair they do in the fall.

Meningococcal (Menactra/Menveo) Vaccination


The state of Missouri requires that seniors require a Meningococcal (Menactra/Menveo) Immunization. 

2021-2022 Senior students will NOT be able to begin their senior year until proof of the Meningococcal Immunization can be provided. The Meningitis  Immunization requirement for Seniors is required whether you are doing in PERSON LEARNING or online learning.  Proof of the Meningitis immunization needs to be sent or emailed to the school nurse before the first day of school. this vaccination needs to have been given at age 16 or older.
