REFLECTIONS

CALLING ALL ARTISTS!

It’s NEVER too early to being thinking about the PHHS PTA Reflections program. This past Spring four of our five winners won awards at the state level and were honored during the MO PTA Reflections awards ceremony in Columbia. Way to go PHHS students! Reflections is the largest arts in education program in the nation. Over 300,000 students participate in this annual competition. This is a cool way for you to express your artistic creativity and possibly even win an award on the local, state, or national level!  This is a link to the Missouri PTA Reflections rules page  http://s3.amazonaws.com/rdcms-pta/files/production/public/16-17%20National%20Rules%20Packet.pdf  . Check it out.

The 2017-18 Reflections theme is:  Within Reach.  The categories for submissions are in the following areas:  dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts. Entries will be sent in a digital format and judged on creativity.  Any student can enter!  There is even a Special Artists Division. Just fill the form out and submit the work of art that best expresses how the theme speaks to you. Enter more than one category. Enter them ALL! It’s up to you.

If you have any questions, please contact, Jay Blumenthal, Park Hill PTA Reflections Chairperson at 816-518-4568. PLEASE help spread the word and encourage your students to participate. Show off your artistic talents by entering.

The best of luck to you!
