Everyone looks so pretty in pink today! Let’s keep the spirit train going and get groovy tomorrow for the 60’s and 70’s hippies versus disco. If someone threw off your groove then you can wear yellow! If you have any fines or fees get them paid ASAP so you can get your homecoming ticket at lunch for $10. The dance is on Saturday September 18th in the baseball parking lot from 7-10. Only Barry Road and LEAD Trojans can attend. Tomorrow is the last day to buy a ticket. It's going to be a blast so don’t miss out!

Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be meeting tonight in the Library Atrium from 7:00-8:00pm. We will play games, connect, and grow with our Faith. Everyone is welcome! We hope to see you there!

Park Hill is once again returning to in-person college rep visits.  We will still offer virtual visits after school hours as well.

The Park Hill Swim and Dive team competed again last night. The boys defeated Warrensburg (222-49), Smith-Cotton (206-83), Summit Christian (227-30), and Marshall (231-27). In a tight meet we lost to Blue Springs South by a single point (157-156). We had a number of great swims last night and continue seeing improvement from everyone. This pushes our record to 10-1 for the season. Top 3 finishes last night include:

  • 200 Medley Relay- Jack Stanley, Raphael Realina, Jaime Franco and David Keightley
  • 200 Freestyle- Chris Appel and Eli Stammler
  • 200 IM- Keightley and Beau Anderson
  • 50 Free- Stanley and Franco
  • Diving- Chancellor Caudle
  • 100 Fly- Appel
  • 100 Free- Stammler and Keightley
  • 500 Free- Realina and Stanley

  • Next up for the boy’s is the Northland Invite (Prelims Friday and Diving and Finals Saturday) at the Gladstone Community Center.

National Art Honors Society will meet this Thursday, September 16 from 3-4pm, Friday, September 17 from 3-5pm, and Saturday, September 18 from 8-10am in room 542. Members bring your applications and wear clothes to paint in.


Attention Anime fans!! We will be having our first Anime Club meeting Friday, September 17th after school in Room 517. If you enjoy watching Anime, reading Manga, and like Anime culture, then we are the place to be!!


Homecoming Week is filled with home events.  Attend as many as you can and support your fellow Trojans.  At the close of the week, the homeroom averaging the most passport stamps will win a Park Hill flag for your classroom.  The flag is of your choice displayed on the Library doors this week.


Are you interested in taking the ACT in October? If so, the last day to sign up for the October ACT is Friday, September 17.

Academic Awards: These awards are earned by students who achieved a 3.50 or higher GPA on a weighted grading scale for 2020-2021 (last school year).  Please check one of the lists posted outside the Library Media Center or the upper gym lobby. If you feel you should be on the list, but aren't listed, please email Mrs. Melott.

September 13th through the 18th is Park Hill High School’s Homecoming Week!  We will be throwing it back with a Decades Style Spirit Week.  

  • Thursday 60’s / 70’s: Hippies vs. Disco or YELLOW
  • Friday Park Hill Spirit:  ALL RED 
  • The Homecoming Parade is at 5pm on Friday, followed by the football game at 8pm.   

The Homecoming Dance will be on Saturday, September 18th from 7pm – 10pm in the baseball field parking lot. Only Barry Road and LEAD Trojans may attend.  Tickets will be sold from Monday, September 13 through Thursday, September 16 during lunch. Tickets are $10 per person and $15 per couple.
