Get Involved at Park Hill High School
Sports and Activities
Participation in both extracurricular and interscholastic activities is a privilege, not a right. As a result, participation can be restricted, revoked, or permitted pursuant to specific district guidelines including, but not limited to, the following Eligibility Rules and Requirements.
The District’s extracurricular activities program is intended to provide opportunities for student participation in activities designed to meet leisure, recreational, social and emotional interests and needs. Extracurricular activities will be those District-recognized and supervised activities that primarily involve students and activities occurring outside academic class time, for which no grades or units of academic credit are awarded. These activities shall provide for individual, small group and/or student body participation. All extracurricular activities must have a duly appointed sponsor, supervisor, or coach.
The District also provides the opportunity for students to engage in co curricular activities. Co-curricular activities are part of the educational curriculum of the Park Hill School District, but often include activities outside the classroom and beyond traditional classroom instruction. Students receive grades and academic credit for their performance in courses associated with co curricular activities (e.g.,band program, vocal music, speech and debate, newspaper and yearbook). A certified teacher/adviser will be assigned to each co-curricular activity.
A student shall not be permitted to practice or compete for Park Hill High School until a completed, signed Physical Form is on file with the Activities office at Park Hill High School. Prior to each year of athletics and/or activities participation, a completed and signed Pre-Participation document is required. There are NO Exceptions to these rules. All required forms are available on this page or from the Activities office located in the front office of Park Hill High School.
Sports participation fees for the 2022-2023 year are $55 per child/$110 for two or more children in the family. This fee payment allows athletes to participate in up to three sports during the school year. Athletes pay this fee directly to their coach at practice. Do not bring this money to registration or confuse this fee with the optional activity pass ($25) for students who attend frequent home sporting events.
Important Athletic Information
To participate in athletics, students must have a current physical and ImPACT test on file. Physicals must be completed by a physician (information and forms found) and the ImPACT testing is done through school.
